Hatched out of the cold egg formerly known as Shake the Tree, Y es Y es Harry Bonanza ( henceforth known as YYHB) touched down on earth in August 2000AD. The place known as North London was to be their base, and, even though the magnetic allure of LA, Cape Town , Sydney, Rio and Balham almost proved too much at times, that is where they remain to this day.
To cut to the chase, YYHB consist of 3 individual players of instruments: Steve the guitarist / singer, Phil the bassist and Richard the drummer. They are all of indeterminate age. The cataclysmic events which formed the band caused all the members to pause; to take time out; indeed to reconsider the rationalised viewing planes through which they'd always referenced life. In other words to bin the old toons and start afresh. After many hours of blood, sweat and tears followed by more tears .. a smaller quantity of blood and an amount of sweat much greater than the blood but still slightly less than the tears, the task was complete. That really is the end of the story; there's no point in documenting the tours, festivals, TV chat shows, radio interviews and blockbusting film appearances because when it comes down to it what can be said here that already hasn't ? End. |
